I’m sorry if I sound heartless, but in this scenario and so many of these “activist” or “revolutionary” scenarios that I’ve seen pop up, the debt incurred that people feel victimized by is something that could actually be avoided (most noticeably: student loan and credit card debt).
Your choice to agree to and take on these debts are your own. They are not forced upon you. They are your decisions to incur in turn for the chances at “following your dreams” or whatever motivated you to do so in the first place.
Blaming your debt or your victimization on a straw man representing Wall St rather than the self-obsessed, self-serving, irresponsible culture that exists on all socio-economic levels we love to indulge is only throwing gasoline on the the fires.
